We are huge fans but know they’re just not for everyone. And we’re asked all the time, “Should I have a veil?”

First off it’s helpful to know some of our most iconic images with brides are in veils. They’re a defining statement that has an unparalleled beauty about them for portraits, kisses, the moment when you’re dressing before the ceremony and of course most of all that walk down the aisle to the love of your life. Simply as the light flows through as your eyes peer out or as it frames your walk behind you, your veil is a layer of royal beauty that can create some of the most iconic moments of your wedding day.

Something else to consider, they’re a piece to pass down for generations and you can easily frame one as an amazing work of art and token of your wedding day. We’ve photographed simple birdcage to elaborate chapel detailed layered to the gold thread or monogrammed veils. The list is long for styles and it’s so important to get it right for personal taste and for that statement. Choosing one that fits the location, season and venue can be everything. If you’re on the beach one too heavy could be caught up in the sand. If you have a gorgeous set of stairs that will be a part of your day or portraits a long veil could be your dream piece. Another consideration is your hairstyle and of course your style of dress and feel of your overall wedding day.

After you say I do, the veil may not stay on for much longer but long enough for the wind to kiss it as you lean over for that special kiss to your newlywed. It’s a timeless then and now.

Always a fan of that old Hollywood glam. The Crescent Club in Dallas known as the most prestigious social club in the city, definitely delivers that vibe. Aspen St.Regis

Mr & Mrs Dell were inspired by the vintage vibe of Austin and the old world glamour of Aspen. Vintage broaches in her bouquet. Faux furs over ceremony chairs and tables, so classic and still featured on the St Regis website for their weddings. Aspen branches held candles down the ceremony aisle. Strung chestnuts laid over silver goblets of cranberries and additional rhinestone broaches. Wax candles in silversticks glowing as everyone celebrated often wearing top hats and sparkles. So easy to see why this one is hands down unforgettable by yours truly. XO! TG

“I cannot speak highly enough of Thisbe herself and her team at Thisbe Grace Photography! My husband and I used her for our wedding and she was sensational to work with in every way. Our first session together was to take our engagement photos, and I was a little nervous leading up to it because I don’t really like to be in front of the camera. Thisbe made both my husband and me feel so at ease and comfortable; we felt like we were hanging out with a close friend! She has a rare ability to be friendly, easy-going, and creative while still staying focused on getting the job done efficiently and thoroughly (which you WANT in a wedding photographer, especially when you are dealing with a ton of family members and a huge wedding party on the actual wedding day). On top of being wonderful to work with personally, her work is DREAMY! There is really no other way to describe it other than to say that her photography is dreamy, airy, and gorgeous!
